Wessex Garage Doors are Europe's leading manufacturer of low maintenance GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) garage doors. Wessex are now part of the Cardale Group and are based at Verwood, Dorset. They manufacture GRP doors for Cardale and all the Wessex doors run on the tried and tested Cardale lifting gear, including the patented maxi-mizer gear on all retractable doors up to and including 8 ft. wide.

Wessex offer their doors in various qualities to suit all tastes and budgets. The 2 Crown range is an attractive , lower budget range, ideal for makeovers etc.
The 3 Crown door has an integral steel frame bonded over in G.R.P. to give strength, rigidity and improved resistance to light penetration.

The 4 Crown door is a 3 Crown door with a white semi-gloss coating on the back of the door. This gives a quality feel, adds strength and virtually eliminates light penetration.
The 5 Crown door has a steel frame, encapsulated in polyurethane foam. The back of the door is a flat, textured GRP panel. A very plush door.

In 2005, Wessex launched the Vienna Sectional GRP door and the 40mm insulated Vienna 40. These doors combine the beauty, choice of colour and maintenance free advantages of GRP with all the advantages of a sectional door. Can even be fitted onto a 70mm timber frame. An extremely attractive, highly engineered product.
